As a brand new employee, I found your meeting very interesting and very informative. Thank you for inviting me.

I thought the training was very useful. I have only been here since the 1st week in August but I have heard Naomi and Deb talk about Buy America. The more the entire organization knows about the process the better chance of positive results.

I thought you did a good job covering such complex subjects, especially for persons having no exposure to these regulations. Your past efforts to educate union leadership were a good idea. Having rank and file understand, at least in a basic way, is beneficial.

Was it worth my time? Absolutely. I have heard of DBE and Buy America, but have not really been given any training on how complex the subjects are. The training was extremely helpful to me for making decisions as an IE can directly affect DBE and possibly Buy America. The training has given me another tool that I can reference to make smart decisions.

Many thanks for the presentation. It was a complicated subject, simply given and I enjoyed it. I particularly liked the enthusiasm and passion with which it was given.

I enjoyed the presentation and how it outlined our limitations for some of these contracts. The “real life” examples always help people understand how it really happens!

I found the training session very informative. I have been with this organization for almost 5 years and only lately have I heard of “Buy America.” I was quite surprised to hear that we’ve been doing it for as long as we have. I think it was very beneficial for my staff and me to hear what it is and the details surrounding the importance of compliance and all that goes into the process. Thank you for including us in your training.

I had no idea about Buy America and didn’t know all about DBE either. The meeting was very knowledgeable and I thought very well organized as far as how you went into details and made it very easy to listen too. Most informational meetings that I’ve attended lack the personal touch that you incorporated.

Since I was still mulling over thoughts I had during the class this morning, I would say that it was very well worth the time and effort! I am thinking of ways to keep a running tab on BAA and DBE value during the quotation process. I thought your workshop was very well done. I think it should be mandatory for everyone who deals with bids, purchasing, and marketing or directly with our suppliers.

I thought the topics were relevant to all of our jobs and the presentation was useful. It was the right length and right level of detail. You did a good job explaining the regulations in language we could all understand. The examples helped.

The training session was indeed helpful. From an engineer’s/designer’s standpoint seeing how complex and challenging this issue really is, I believe will be helpful in developing specifications and drawing documents which in the end provide sufficient detail along with a narrowed definition of the products and systems which may be procured from a DBE supplier.

Nice job. While I had some familiarity with both BAA and DBE/WBE/MBE, I learned a lot. Gotta agree with you. Your approach, providing candid insight, is a welcomed change. Thanks for taking the time to enlighten us and keep us in synch with the business needs.

I thought that you did a great job with your presentation. You made good time with all the information that you gave. It is good that you give this to all departments along the Supply Chain, for it makes everyone understand the importance and justify why we do what we do.

Thanks for taking time so late in the day to give your presentation to our visitors from Paris. It was also a nice refresher for me. This gave me a renewed perspective on the requirements. I am anxious to work more closely with you going forward to investigate potential DBEs.
